Aloha! This is Marcia writing from Ocean Wind Realty. Today I want to write about affordable parking near Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Hotel parking at Hilton Hawaiian Village
As of December 2022, parking at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is $57 per day for self parking and $67 for valet parking. When we stay at the Hilton with our elders, we tend to use Hilton’s parking space for convenience. It’s especially convenient if you’re staying at the Grand Waikikian as there’s direct access from the parking structure.
However, if you are staying for a long period of time, parking at the Hilton Hawiian Village does add up..
Cheap public parking near Hilton Hawaiian Village
This is where cheap public parking comes in. When we stay at one of the Hilton Hawaiian Village hotels or timeshare, we generally park our car at the public parking space next to the lagoon.
The official name is “Ala Wai Boat Harbor Parking” and it’s situated by the yacht harbor, between the Ilikai and the ocean.
The great thing is that it only costs $1 per day, which is literally unheard of in Waikiki. At only $24 a day, it is almost 1/3 the cost of Hilton’s parking fee.
The downside is that there is no security at this parking space. It is also a a bit of a walk to the hotel. It will take around 5-8 minutes to walk to one of the Hilton hotels, depending on which tower you are staying at.
Rules of “Ala Wai Boat Harbor Parking” as of November 2022:
– Maximum stay is 24 hours.
– Credit card payment
– Pay in advance
– Show receipt with correct license plate and hours on dashboard
There is also a monthly option which costs $150 per month.
